Hey everyone, I am a American who grew up in NYC. I am Peru for 2 days, and my spanish is dreadful but I am learning that 2 days could turn into a lot longer if I might the right shorty. I had some questions pertaining to nightlife, farmacias, and “partying”. For the sake of KARMA hit a brother up My e-mail is [email protected].. Thank you
Alec
Thanks Maria! Glad you like my blog. I haven’t been updating it much… too busy.
Hmm… your post and the mention of Karma is pretty stupid. Interesting that say you are in Peru but posting from NY?
Hi Scott,
I’m a blogger here in peru (TarapotoLife and HowtoPeru.com). I’m trying to get together some thoughts from other Peru bloggers about drinking (or not drinking) tap water in Peru. I’m planning to assemble these snippets into a post for HowtoPeru, and I’d love to include your views on this, especially from a Pucallpa perspective. If you are interested, send me an email.
Cheers,
Tony.
Hello!
Do you think I can propose you my site for your blogroll? After all it could be useful!
Hi Scott,
I would like to contact you about basic information shared on your blog about Peru.
It is about specific topics mentioned on your blog.
Could you please, contact me through e-mail. Thank you. Jose
Thanks Jose! I sent you an email. I have some questions for you too, about Brasil.
Hi Scott,
A few friends and I are travelling to Pucallpa for the Semana Santa and we are looking into jungle lodges or tours that we could take. We have found quite a few, but no reliable reviews online and we were wondering if you would have any advice or recommendations. We are all students/international volunteers and so budget is definitely a factor to keep in mind. We have found a lodge called Jana Shobo (http://www.otaku.ch/cyberboogie/JanaShoboweb/index_.htm) – any chance you have heard of it/could comment on it please?
Thanks in advance for all of your help!
Sheila
Unfortunately I am not familiar with the lodge. Yarinacocha and Pucallpa are suffering from the worst rainy season ever, so hopefully it is not built too close to the water. We have already surpassed last year’s record water levels. I have not been to the lake in a few weeks. I will try and check on it this week and reply to you by email.

Hi Scott! Wonderful blog and congrats on your citizenship! I’m a newcomer to Pucallpa and David Salisbury encouraged me to check out your blog. I’m here only for another couple of months and am looking to make the absolute most out of my time here. I’d love to ask a couple of questions and would really appreciate it if you’d shoot me a quick email!

James, I know a lot of guides that speak English and Spanish, but none that I know speak all three languages. If you are interested, let me know.
Hi, how long have you been in peru?? how old are you? is it secure where you live? i live in lima and some zones are insecure.
I have lived in Peru for several years. Pucallpa is just like any city in Peru or the world for that matter: There are good areas and bad areas.
Hi,
I am planning to be in Pupallca for 2-3 days and looking for a local guide.
Are you able to recommend anybody?
Thank you
